However, older women have higher chances of suffering from this debilitating condition. This condition is known to cause osteoporotic fractures can be serious and affect the quality of life. The risk factors behind this condition are age, and menopause, mainly seen in women due to menopause, and amenorrhea. Other factors are family history, genetics, sedentary lifestyles, lack of exercise , smoking, and calcium and vitamin D deficiency.
