Tamannaah Bhatia, who made her recent special appearance in Raid 2, is reportedly set to lead the third installment of the popular Ragini MMS franchise. The film, produced by Ekta Kapoor, is expected to go on floors towards the end of 2025. News reports suggest that Kapoor has finalized a storyline that fits seamlessly within the franchise’s universe.

Tamannaah Bhatia's Role

A source told Pinkvilla that Ekta Kapoor discussed the film with Tamannaah Bhatia on the sets of her upcoming movie Vvan, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra.

The actress reportedly found the horror quotient of the film striking, and the project also promises opportunities for chart-topping music. The team is actively looking for a song that could capture nationwide attention, following the tradition of popular numbers in the erotic horror thriller franchise.

About Ragini MMS Franchise

The Ragini MMS franchise began in 2011 with the original film starring Rajkummar Rao and Kainaz Motivala. The sequel, released in 2014, featured Sunny Leone and gained widespread attention, especially for the hit song “Baby Doll.” More than a decade later, Ekta Kapoor is reportedly aiming to recreate the franchise’s success with Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role. While no official statements have been made by either the actress or the producer, the anticipation among fans is already high.

Alongside Ragini MMS 3, Tamannaah Bhatia has several major projects in the pipeline. She will star in Vvan with Sidharth Malhotra, scheduled for release on May 15, 2026, and is also reportedly part of Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film with John Abraham.

Apart from the horror franchise, Ekta Kapoor is developing multiple projects, including a mytho-thriller directed by Anil Rahi Barve, known for Tumbbad. Kapoor’s approach to blending genres and mass appeal continues to engage audiences, and the upcoming installment of Ragini MMS is expected to follow that pattern.
