Reliance Jio ARPU rises to Rs 211 as customer base crosses 50 crore in Q2FY26

Reliance Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) on Friday reported strong operational growth for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, with its subscriber base crossing the 500 million (50 crore) milestone. The company added 8.3 million new mobile users during the quarter, taking its total base to over 50 crore, while monthly churn remained stable at 1.9%.

Jio’s average revenue per user ( ARPU) increased to ₹211.4 per month, reflecting higher customer engagement despite ongoing promotional 5G offers. The company’s JioTrue5G user base rose to 2.34 crore, with 5G now accounting for approximately 50% of total wireless traffic.

The telecom giant also continued its rapid home broadband expansion. Jio AirFiber added over 10 lakh new homes each month, taking the total connected premises to around 2.3 crore, while the AirFiber subscriber base reached 95 lakh globally, consolidating Jio’s leadership in fixed broadband. Total data traffic grew 29.8% year-on-year to 58 exabytes, with per capita consumption at 38.7 GB per month.

Jio Platforms’ consolidated net profit rose 12.8% year-on-year to ₹7,379 crore, while revenue from operations increased 14.6% to ₹36,332 crore. Gross revenue for the quarter stood at ₹42,652 crore, up 14.9% from a year ago.

In addition to subscriber growth, Jio rolled out several digital initiatives. The company enhanced JioAICloud functionalities, introducing AI-powered photo albums and voice search in Hindi and English, now serving around 42 million registered users. Jio also upgraded its JioPC platform with an AI Assistant for real-time content generation and integrated productivity tools through JioWorkspace. During the India Mobile Congress 2025, Jio launched a four-week AI Classroom Foundation Course in collaboration with Jio Institute and introduced “Safety-First” capabilities in JioBharat phones, designed to allow families to stay connected and protected.
