The controversy surrounding Pakistani TikTok influencer Manahil Malik intensifies. Days after the TikToker claimed that a viral explicit video featuring her was fake, Pakistani actress Mishi Khan alleged she may have leaked the video herself, inspired by a storyline from Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Bollywood film Heroine. In an Instagram video, Mishi criticized the influencer for what she described as “stooping to the lowest level” for fame, though she didn’t name Manahil directly.
Mishi addressed the topic after noticing Manahil’s name trending on X, expressing frustration in her caption: “Shameful to see these influencers stooping to the lowest level for fame, disgracing their families, parents, and society.
They should be banned from using social media.” In her video, Mishi expressed her dismay at seeing such explicit videos of Manahil circulating, claiming the TikToker was heard in the video saying, “If you go anywhere else, I will make it go viral.” She suggested that Manahil’s actions may have been inspired by the movie Heroine, where the protagonist leaks her own explicit video to promote her film. Responding to Manahil’s claim that the video is a deepfake, Mishi questioned, “Why would anyone invest in creating a deepfake?” and noted that Manahil herself allegedly spoke about making the video viral.
Upset by the video’s spread, Mishi urged TikTok influencers to think about their families and communities, reminding them, “People look up to you, so stop promoting this behavior. Our society already faces moral challenges. Focus on spreading positive actions and values.”
