Navya Naveli's 'loved one' is not happy with her IIM studies, struggles with her busy schedule

Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, is making headlines not just for her academic accomplishments but also for her special bond with her beloved Golden Retriever, Alfie. While Navya recently began her prestigious Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad, one member of her family isn’t as thrilled with this new chapter in her life – her dog Alfie.

According to Amitabh Bachchan, who shared delightful insights during an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Alfie is deeply attached to Navya and doesn’t seem to handle her time away very well. "Navya is Alfie's 'malkin' (mistress), and when she’s away for her studies, poor Alfie feels lost," Amitabh revealed with a chuckle. He went on to explain that Alfie has become a significant part of Navya's life, always by her side, and her absence during her academic commitments has been tough on the loyal pet.

Amitabh shared, “He sleeps with her and follows her everywhere—she takes amazing care of him. But now that she's busy with her studies and often away from home, Alfie misses her deeply. He comes to me for comfort, but it’s clear that he is completely attached to her.”

Balancing IIM and Love

Navya’s journey at IIM, which involves both online learning and on-campus sessions, has meant she has to balance her academic responsibilities with her personal life. However, it’s Alfie who seems to be having the hardest time adjusting to this change. Amitabh further added with a smile, "Alfie is teething now, and he has this habit of biting and grabbing onto things. It’s his way of showing affection, and even though he misses Navya, he's always full of love."

Despite the lighthearted nature of the conversation, it highlights the undeniable bond between Navya and Alfie. Even as Navya takes on her rigorous MBA coursework, her furry companion waits patiently, hoping to curl up on her lap whenever she’s home.

Navya, who has been balancing her professional and academic life, might have a lot on her plate, but it's clear that Alfie is waiting for her to come home. As Amitabh Bachchan remarked, "Pets truly become a part of the family, and Alfie is no exception."

For now, as Navya focuses on her education at IIM, one thing is certain—her loyal Golden Retriever will be waiting for her, ready to shower her with love, no matter how busy her journey gets.
