For the third consecutive day this week, more schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email. On Wednesday morning, a security scare was triggered at St. Thomas School and Vasant Valley School in Dwarka, Delhi.
According to officials, both schools alerted authorities after receiving the threatening message. The Delhi Fire Department, along with local police teams and bomb disposal squads, were immediately dispatched to the premises.
Fire Department officials informed that an investigations are underway into the matter and nothing suspicious have been found yet.
Fresh threats
The latest threats come barely a day after three other schools in the national capital were targeted by similar hoax emails.
On Tuesday, St. Thomas School received its first bomb threat along with St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University via email. Both institutions were evacuated as a precaution while extensive searches were carried out.
Security teams, including the Delhi Police Bomb Squad, Dog Squad, Fire Brigade, and Special Staff, conducted thorough inspections of the premises. Officials later confirmed that nothing suspicious had been recovered.
On Monday, three more schools—Navy School in Chanakyapuri, CRPF School in Dwarka, and another in Rohini—had reported receiving bomb threat emails.
Bomb disposal squads and police teams were swiftly deployed across all locations, launching large-scale search operations.
The Delhi Fire Services said a fire tender was sent to each of the schools as part of the emergency response. “It was declared a hoax after a thorough check by multiple agencies, including the fire department,” a senior fire official stated.
Authorities are continuing efforts to trace the source of the threatening emails and are treating the matter with utmost seriousness to ensure the safety of students and staff across the city.
