Zunheboto (Nagaland) [India], October 14 (ANI): Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram visited Zunheboto district on Monday as part of his three-day Nagaland visit.
During his visit, the Union Minister took stock of various government-aided schemes and their progress.
Speaking on occasion, Oram stated that the main objective of his visit was to take stock of the various government-aided schemes and benefits provided to the people and survey their proper implementation.
He said PM Modi has given directions to ministers and others concerned to visit various parts of the country, especially the Northeast to listen t the people's voices and to work to see a 'Viksit Bharat'.
Speaking on Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, Oram said that it aims at saturation of more than 63,000 tribal majority villages in Aspirational Districts with a budget of Rs 79,156 crore focusing on 25 scheme interventions in the next 5 years, through coordinated efforts of 17 Ministries.
The Union Minister and the accompanying officials further had a fruitful interaction with beneficiaries and communities, a release said. (ANI)
