PBKS defeated KKR by 16 runs in Match 31 of IPL 2025 in Chandigarh. Chasing a target of 112, KKR were sent packing for 95. Yuzvendra Chahal led the way with 4/28 while Marco Jansen took 3/17. This was also the lowest-ever IPL score defended in a 20-over game.

Playoffs Race

This was PBKS’ fourth win in six games and it took them to fourth place. KKR slipped to sixth position with three wins in seven games. KKR next play GT on April 21 while PBKS take on RCB on April 18. With nearly half the league games played, all 10 teams are still in contention of making it to the top four. No team is assured of a place yet.

KKR are the defending champions and have won the title a total of three times. PBKS are yet to win it even once. Their best performance was making it to the final in 2014 where they lost to KKR. Will one of them lift the trophy on May 25? Only time will tell!
