The result of class 12th of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UP Board) may be late. The reason for this is that 420 schools of UP, have not yet uploaded the marks of the internal assessment of intermediate on the board's website. Apart from this, the marks of internal assessment, project activities, and practicals of class 10 students have also not been uploaded.

UP Board 10th and 12th examinations were held this time between 24 February and 12 March. After this, the checking of copies started on 19 March and was completed by 2 April. But as soon as the board got busy preparing the result, a big negligence came to light. According to the information, 420 schools of 62 districts of the state have not uploaded the marks of internal assessment of high school and intermediate on the official website of UP Board. Apart from this, the marks of subjects like Moral Education, Yoga, Sports, and Physical Education taught in Intermediate (12th) classes were also not uploaded on the website. The result was that the marks of about 17,000 candidates could not be recorded in the records and their mark sheets have been withheld for the time being.

The board gave a final warning.

Taking the matter seriously, the board secretary Bhagwati Prasad Singh has given a last chance to the principals of all the concerned schools. And has said that all the missing marks should be uploaded on the UP Board website by 4 pm on April 7. He also made it clear that if the result of any student remains incomplete or he fails, then the principal of the concerned school will be held responsible for it.

Danger looming over the future

Not getting the mark sheets of 17 thousand students can spoil their future. This delay can cause trouble for the students who have to take admission in college, or who are filling forms for competitive exams. Due to this, both the students and their parents are under stress and questions are being raised on the education system.

Who is responsible?

If the marks are not uploaded by the stipulated time limit, then the principal of the school will be held directly responsible. Also, action can be taken against the District School Inspector of the concerned district. To stop this negligence, the board has sent a letter to all DIOS and asked them to take necessary steps as soon as possible.

Appeal of students and parents

Students and their parents demand that the government take strict action against such schools which are playing with the future of the students. They want the results of all the students to come on time and no child should fail due to non-uploading of marks. They also want that a strict and transparent system should be created to ensure that such irregularities do not happen again.
