Roy Keane puts Sky Sports chiefs on notice with major career plan

The majority of Keane's illustrious career was spent at United, where he played under legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson and won numerous major titles. After an exit in 2005, the ex-midfielder had a stint at Celtic, having begun his professional journey in the UK at Nottingham Forest.

Post-retirement in 2006, Keane managed Sunderland and Ipswich Town before transitioning into punditry. Now aged 53, he contributes to both ITV and Sky Sports. On a recent episode of 'The Overlap on Tour' in Turin, Keane told icon , Ian Wright, and Gary Neville that he's considering a move to a place like Switzerland. "In the next couple of years, I reckon I will be moving abroad... putting it out there," he disclosed to the trio.

When Carragher asked about his potential destination, Keane responded: "Do you know what, Switzerland, maybe? Switzerland is beautiful."

Back in August, Keane expressed his intention to retire from punditry within the next decade. Speaking candidly on the 'Stick to Football' podcast, he shared his mixed feelings about the beautiful game: "I love football, but the hassle of matches, getting to games, and the hassle of fans – I was in court a few months ago with somebody head-butting me – do you think I enjoy that side of it? Absolutely not.

"The games are fine. Getting to the games, parking up, people shouting your name – good stuff, bad stuff – it's a nuisance. Being a pundit in 10 years, not."
