Melania Trump's wildest memoir revelations as people ask 'where is she'

Melania Trump offered a rare insight into her life as 's wife and America's former First Lady in her book.

The Slovenian ex-model, who lived in the White House between 2017 and 2021 while her husband was US president, released her memoir - titled Melania - days before the US election campaign kicked off in October. The book detailed Melania's first exchange with Trump, and meeting the Obamas.

Upon its release, Donald admitted he hadn't read his wife's book - despite pushing his followers to buy it. He claimed he was "too busy" and said: "Go out and buy it, and if she says bad things about me, I'll call you all up, and I'll say, 'Don't buy it'."

It comes as from her husband's campaign with rumours swirling of whether she will return to the White House if he becomes President.

Awkward first meet

In the memoir, Melania shared how Donald was at a party with another "beautiful date" when he first approached her. She claimed she didn't know him. She wrote: "I recognised the name, and I knew he was a businessman or celebrity, but not much else." He then shook her hand and started a conversation.

Before he left the event, when his date wasn't by his side, he asked Melania for her phone number - which she "politely declined" and instead asked for his. He handed over a business card. She explained how she called him a while after and he had been waiting for the call.

'Gold digger' fury

Melania gushed over Donald's tender side in her tome, revealing he regularly calls her personal doctor to check on her health, and that they share a "love for and Elton John". She addressed their 24-year age gap and how she has been labelled a "gold digger" in the public eye - slamming it as "baseless accusations".

In a daring statement, Melania wrote that she "could have easily captured the attention of numerous celebrities" if she did not desire a future and family with Trump. She also added that she has made her own wealth through modelling and skincare and jewellery businesses.

Bold abortion stance

Melania made clear the divide between her and her husband's stance on abortion. While Trump's Republican Party is typically "pro-life", Melania voiced her support for pro-choice rights. Ahead of the book release, she shared a video on socials asserting that abortion is a "fundamental" right to women and an aspect of "individual freedom".

In the book, she wrote: "Our next generation must be provided with knowledge, security, safety and solace, and the cultural stigma associated with abortion must be lifted." The former First Lady added that the slogan 'my body, my choice' aligns with "personal freedom" and she supports "the right to choose life".

Royal pen pal

Melania claimed she is pen pals with King Charles in the book. She did not mention when she and the King reportedly started writing to one another, but they are understood to have met in New York in 2005. She wrote it was an "absolute pleasure to reconnect with him" during a state visit to the UK in 2019.

The former model detailed how she and Charles have shared beliefs about environmental conservation. She added: "Sadly, Her Majesty wasn't able to visit us again before her death in 2022, but our friendship with the continues, and we exchange letters with King Charles to this day."

Step-mum struggles

The mother-of-one wrote how her beliefs do not always align with her four step-children from Trump's previous two marriages - Donald Jr, Ivanka, Eric and Tiffany. She said their relationship is "grounded in love and respect" but she "may not agree with every opinion or choice" of Donald's kids.

Melania also added that she does not align with "all of Donald's decisions" too, in a cryptic dig to her husband's controversial and outspoken beliefs. She explained that while they "may share the same last name", the Trumps are all on different "paths" of their own.

Sacrifice for son Barron

She shared how she "deliberately chose to step back from public life" when she had her son Barron in 2006 to focus on motherhood. The former fashion model continued to appear at occasional events, but her "focus shifted", and she prioritised raising him.

She also added how she made a "small sacrifice" during her to "ensure the best" for her baby and completely cut fizzy drinks from her diet, as well as eating clean and preservative-free foods.

Obama mix-up

Melania described meeting the Obamas at the White House and claimed their exchange was "cordial and pleasant", despite rumours of awkwardness between Barack Obama and Trump. She said Michelle Obama "graciously offered" her a tour and was "generous with her advice".

Later in the memoir, she explained how things got a little more difficult when it came to the Obamas moving out and the Trumps moving in. She said her plans to prepare the presidential premises before Trump's inauguration were "disrupted by protocols and politics".

While Trump's team was meant to instigate the moving-in process, their staff did not receive her notes. When they reached out to Obama's team, Melania "did not receive a response for weeks." Then, when she did, she claimed it was "filled with errors" and delayed the move.
