Melania Trump's nude pics aired on primetime Russian TV show sparking outrage

Russian TV has shown nude images of as it congratulated her on the presidential victory by her husband.

The 60 Minutes programme on the -1 network, the most watched channel in the country, discussed the impact of returning to the White House which has generally been seen as positive in Russia. And during the show, presenters Yevgeny Popov and Olga Skabeyeva showed a number of photos of Melania from her modelling days including nude images from GQ taken in 2000.

The clip was shared on social media by Julia Davis, founder of the Russia Media Monitor watchdog group, and it begins with Popov saying that Melania is preparing for a return to the White House. While he speaks there is a clip of Donald Trump and his wife embracing before it then cuts to an image of Melania from her GQ shoot. And Popov says: “Here’s how Melania looked in the year 2000.”

He continues: "The future first lady lies on top of furs in a negligee. Inside the magazine, Melania's sexy photos near a private plane and aboard the plane. In one of the shots, the model is wearing only her underwear, lying on a blue carpet with the US seal, as though the editors of the men's magazine knew something in advance about the future of their model."

Ms Davis wrote alongside the clip on X: "Meanwhile in Russia: this is how the most watched state TV channel in the country welcomed Melania Trump's upcoming return to the White House. Olga Skabeeva is trying not to laugh. This was probably her idea." congratulated Donald Trump for his victory in the elections during his first public comment on the matter and spoke of his courage during the assassination attempt.

“His behaviour at the moment of an attempt on his life left an impression on me. He turned out to be a brave man,” Putin said at an international forum following a speech in the Black Sea resort of Sochi. “He manifested himself in the very correct way, bravely as a man,” he added.

Putin also said that what Trump has said “about the desire to restore relations with Russia, to help end the Ukrainian crisis, in my opinion, deserves attention at least”. The Kremlin earlier welcomed Trump’s claim that he could negotiate an end to the conflict in “in 24 hours” but emphasized that it will wait for concrete policy steps.
