This Morning viewers were left fuming at their TV sets during the latest episode as the show kicked off on a festive note.
Presenter and were back at the helm on Wednesday (November 6) as they gave insight on what's to come. But before things got underway the hosts appeared cheerful as they danced along to the popular song Merry Xmas by Slade.
With parts of the studio decked out in decor, the pair explained that it's only seven weeks until the big day. Discussing toys, Cat and Ben also shared that they will be discussing Christmas scams later on in the show.
But despite the upbeat approach, fans were left annoyed with the Christmas reminder. Heading over to X, viewers shared their frustrations.
One social media user wrote: "It is 7 weeks away so no need to mention it yet." Another furious fan said: "The last thing I need to be reminded about is Christmas when you have people suffering across the still to this day."
A third added: "Christmas is ages away. F off already with all of this #thismorning."
Meanwhile another viewer pointed out that perhaps were attempting to distract viewers from Donald Trump's presedential win, despite them having a small segment on it near the start of the show. The viewer wrote: "Well, this is going to be a great show, why not sweep the biggest story in the world today under the rug and talk about these so-called 'Christmas scams'".
Back in September, This Morning came under fire from viewers once again as fans fumed about another Xmas themed segement. Viewers slammed the show and accused them of "scraping the barrel" by inviting a woman who celebrates Christmas every day on the programme.
Raging at the prospect, one viewer headed over to X and wrote: "Well done producers, you have made the viewers hate the show even more. F****n Christmas segments in September."
Another also echoed: "I love Christmas because it’s not everyday of the year, it’s a special time of year which I love decorating the house for but I couldn’t do that everyday of the year."
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
