Last night's Big Brother live show delivered a shock as yet another contestant was shown the door, making it the third eviction after nominations from their fellow housemates.

Hosts and revealed to viewers that Izaaz had accumulated the most votes, spelling an end to his time in the competition, much to the relief of fellow nominees Khaled, Marcello, and Nathan.

The father-of-one gave a resounding goodbye to his cohort, leaving the house amid thunderous applause from the crowd.

However, fans felt let down by the eviction result, having anticipated Marcello's departure following several fiery clashes within the house lately.

X (formerly Twitter) erupted with post-eviction commentary, with one user expressing dismay on MyLondon: "Evicting him over Marcello is actually insane, I've lost hope in the British public #bbuk", reports .

Another viewer vented their frustration, tweeting: "Super disappointed with the public and keeping Marcello in that house #bbuk."

An additional comment read: "Can't believe I waited all week for this eviction and Marcello will still be on our screens another week, ridiculous #BBUK."

A similarly frustrated fan put it bluntly: "Honestly Izaaz being evicted against Marcello, Khaled and Nathan shows everything wrong with the British public when it comes to voting #bbuk."

One baffled fan took to saying: "I'm soo confused. I understand that Izaaz was fairly quiet, but Marcello makes all of these comments, yet he's still in the house. I liked Izaaz #bbuk."

Another viewer didn't hold back their disappointment about recent events on the show: "Last two eviction results have been a mess. I don't feel confident for the rest of the series at all #bbuk."

The peace in the Big Brother house was totally disrupted this week when a rift created a clear divide amongst the contestants, leading to two distinct groups.

Khaled, Marcello, Segun, and Hanah formed one alliance, while on the other side were Ali, Lily, and Martha, with the others finding themselves stuck in between.

Things heated up drastically after Dean and Ali, who were running the household, decided to save Lily and Hanah from eviction a move that resulted in them putting Marcello and Khaled up instead, which prompted a fierce showdown between Khaled and Ali.

Ali's troubles weren't limited to Khaled; she had a serious fall-out with Marcello over some unsavoury comments he made.

The drama intensified when Big Brother clamped down on rule-breaking by playing back a conversation where Segun, Hanah, and Khaled spoke about Ali in derogatory terms, calling her a "wolf" and "witch".

Big Brother continues on Sunday night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
