People have been shown how to stubborn burnt food and grease from your cooker using two household items without scrubbing.

One of the worst jobs in the kitchen is to get rid of the dirt from around the hub which is so difficult to remove. And yet a popular influencer who shares cleaning hacks has shown out it can actually be done quite easily. Known as the ‘Queen of Cleaning’, Auri Kananen, from Tampere, has nearly 12 million followers on who watch her enterprising ways to make cleaning a lot more simple.

And in one video where she started off by saying: “This life hack will change your life,” she cleans a hob surface which has been left filthy with grease and food remains. In the clip she states: “Spray oven cleaner on the burnt surface, place cling film on top of it, wait 24 hours and then take the cling film off.” Auri is seen spraying the cleaner liquid around the surface before covering it with the cling film which she then leaves for a day and then removes it with the dirt in large parts having become liquified.

She continues: “Scrub it with a steel daddy (scourer), so satisfying, wipe it clean.” And then Auri adds: “Put some stove polisher and its done.” The video has racked up more than 645,000 likes and thousands of comments on TikTok with many people commending her on the hack.

“This is honestly amazing, I can’t believe you made it look brand new,” said one person and Auri replied: “I know right. Cleaning is like magic!!” Another person wrote: “My parents have this exact stove, I scrubbed it for a whole day, soda, vinegar, nothing worked, scrubbed with a knife and just gave up.” Auri responded: “Now you know what to do next.”

But a few people did point out that it meant the hub was out of service for a day. One comment read: “24 hours wait so no food to eat if can’t use stove for whole day.” But another person replied: “I feel like you guys are trying to find a problem when there isn’t one, call a friend and suggest cooking together at their place or something.”
