Enzo Fernandez and his wife Valentina Cervantes are going through a separation.
Taking to Instagram, Cervantes, who has two children with the Chelsea midfielder, announced the separation. She wrote: "Enzo and I have decided to take some distance from each other today.
"But we will always be family, and we will support each other in everything. Because there are two children involved who need a lot of love from us.
"I know the person Enzo is and what an excellent father he is, as well as the heart he has. And that is enough for me. Please don't try to create conflicts where there are none."
According to, Fernandez has told Cervantes he 'feels the need to experience the stage he skipped by choosing family early on'. As such, the 23-year-old has reportedly expressed a desire to live alone.
Fernandez, who cost , has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. A recent report from claimed that Real are willing to either pay £84m for the midfielder - or offer the Blues Aurelien Tchouameni as part of a deal to sign the 23-year-old.

He was also outmuscled by Joelinton to set up a first-half chance for the Magpies, who ended up winning the game 2-0.
He said: "I think [making 11 changes] worked if we analyse the performance. If we analyse the result, then it didn’t work.
"But I think for 23 minutes, until their goal, we were in control of the game and didn’t concede anything. Then after the goal, we lost control for ten minutes, when we conceded the second goal, and then for the last ten minutes of the first half, we created two or three clear-cut chances when we unfortunately didn’t score and in the second half we were in control of the game.
"So I know the most important thing is the result but with the performance, we lost the game because of ten minutes and for the rest we were quite good."
