There aren't that many products that are complete all-rounders, but this inexpensive and readily available product is hands down one of the best: baby wipes. You might not immediately think of a clean car when you envision them, but one expert has explained just why they should be a go-to tool for everyone who is looking to keep their motor sparkling levels of clean. The best part? They cost a mere .

If you've got small children, you almost certainly have a pack of these stashed away in your vehicle - and all round your home, possibly some packets stuffed in a few your bags too. You might be used to reaching for baby wipes to mop up an errant carton of juice that slipped out of their reach (or was squeezed a little too enthusiastically) and whenever there's been some kind of accident or upset stomach during your journey, but they can do more than just mop up these spillages or keep your themselves clean.

One expert explains that the composition of the wipes themselves also makes them suitable to give your a quick clean, both on the outside and the inside. Daniel Trock, writing for , breaks down why this is one life hack you are not going to want to miss out on. Thanks to the alcohol that the wipes are covered in, any errant, streak-causing substances will be swiftly dissolved and removed from their surface," which means you can even safely use baby wipes on your the windows of your vehicle.

Trock explains that "for the inside of the car's cabin, you can use baby wipes on the insides of the windows and windshield to remove any streaks, stains, or condensation dots. After you've wiped the windows, you can then remove any remaining moisture with a dust-free microfiber cloth. This works on the outside as well, though instead of a cloth, use some newspaper to dry the windows." The expert also recommends using the wipes on the seats and dashboard of your car, to keep them fresh, but recommends to make sure you're only using "a light touch here so you don't get everything soaked."

One important consideration when utilising baby wipes as a car cleaning tool is to make sure they haven't dried out, which can easily happen if you leave them in your car for too long. The expert advises this is "Due to the fluctuating temperature in a car's storage spaces, wet wipes may either dry out or start accumulating mold and bacteria if left for multiple days on end. Just as you care for the safety of the products you use on your baby's bottom, be mindful of what you use on your car."
