Arsenal are being linked with a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic ahead of the January transfer window.

Rumours swirled throughout the summer that the Gunners were in the market for a new striker to add to Mikel Arteta's squad.

Eddie Nketiah completed a permanent move to Crystal Palace, leaving Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus as the only recognised centre forwards in the Arsenal squad.

The Gunners opted to sign Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea to strengthen their forward options, but it's not stopping rumours that a new striker remains on the agenda.

According to Tutto Juve, Vlahovic remains a player of interest to Arsenal having previously been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The report claims that the Gunners are looking to sign a striker and have identified Vlahovic as a player of interest and could try and sign the player next summer.

Vlahovic is under contract until 2026 at Juventus, and the report adds that the Serie A club have no plans to let the striker leave and will only entertain offers of at least €70million (£58.4million).

Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was recently asked about Vlahovic's future amid uncertainty surrounding his future. The Juve chief outlined the determination to agree a new contract for the striker in the near future.

"No, a player like him [Vlahovic] with still important prospects can never be a problem, the renewal is an objective, we will do it," Giuntoli told Corriere della Sera when asked if there were any issues with renewing Vlahovic's contract.

"A player who is worth a lot and earns a lot for us represents an asset."

Vlahovic is not the only striker to be linked with the Gunners over the last few months. The Serbia international is joined by Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon, Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray and Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig in being mentioned on the Arsenal rumour mill in recent months.
