Meanwhile, Andrew's ex-girlfriend Kate Thomas confirmed on social media that they had split "months ago." The news has left fans of both Andrew, 41, and Amelia, 30, taking to social media themselves sharing their hopes of a romance.

One wrote on : "I'm convinced this will be the last Chicken Shop Date since they are obviously meant for each other and will never date anyone else again." Another added: "And there better be a marriage proposal somewhere in this episode."

A third said: "Why are you not wearing your wedding dress?" As a fourth quipped: "If this doesn't end in a relationship I don't believe in love." Fans first fell in love with the idea of Andrew and Amelia dating at the Golden Globes in January 2023 when she interviewed him on the red carpet.

They had met previously at the GQ Men of the Year awards in December 2022 when Andrew confessed to being a fan of Chicken Shop Date. At the Golden Globes Amelia flirtily greeted him saying: "We must stop meeting like this."

Andrew replied: "I only ever want to see you"... as Amelia interrupted "What?" Andrew then joked as he continued "I didn't finish my sentence. I only ever want to see you in these kinds of situations." Amelia then cheekily admitted that she would like to see him in other situations and invited him to her birthday party on 30th January.

Andrew then asked Amelia her star sign, to which she said she's an . The actor responded: "If you have a sun sign that's the same as the moon sign of someone else, it's good." She then asked why it was an issue, he said: "I don't think we should explore this."

Amelia then joked that she "wasn't even asking you to" adding "you're obsessed with me."Andrew then replied: "That's what I'm saying. I'm scared what it could turn into and I'm not ready for that," as Amelia returned "Oh ok, well I am."

Kate revealed on social media over the weekend that they had ended their relationship while replying to an Instagram users comment. She wrote: "We broke up months ago but I'm sure he will be happy to know that he is loved." It's not clear how long the pair were an item, but they were first seen together on a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham at Zinqué Malibu back on March 31.
